III FESTIVAL NACIONAL DE CINE “Kunturñawi” Fundación Cultural de Arte Nativo, Consejo Nacional de Cinematografía del Ecuador, Municipio de Quero y Cine Club Kunturñawi, tienen el honor de invitar a III FESTIVAL NACIONAL DE CINE “KUNTURÑAWI” – “El Ojo del Cóndor” del 19 al 28 de noviembre del 2010, en las ciudades de Riobamba-Chimborazo y Quero-Tungurahua.

En el cartel del evento se recoge la carta que el grupo iberoamericano de cineclubs firmó en Atibaia en enero 2010.

Este año empieza con actividad frenética. Además de nuevos films en el catálogo, las presencias en cineclubs y festivales se acelera. CINESUD estará presente en el Festival Internazionale del cinema documentario de Reggio Calabria en el sur de Italia. 14 films del catálogo estarán presentes en este festival que tiene como lema “Da un sud all’altro”. El festival se presenta como un espacio para visibilizar obras no conocidas en Italia y concentrarse en llevar al público nuevos directores y nuevas experiencias documentales.

Due to late information from the Festival only today is possible to send out this Call for Nominations. Please note that on several of the open Juries we had lots of nominations. As we have lot of colleagues in waiting list I think it would be possible to have a Jury for Cottbus in so close deadline.

Dear friends,

Claudino de Jesus, the Brazilian Federation President and Iffs Vice President, has assured me that Brazil will be able to organise the General Assembly from the 6th to 12th December this year in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. There will be a Forum as there has always been but this year it will be the "Film Societies World Conference". Screenings of movies will be organised besides the event and you can send from your Country some suggestions of movies. Claudino will tell everybody how it will be possible to screen films in Recife program. We are very happy with this successful and important news, even because after Cuba 1985 it's the first time that a General Assembly will be held out of Europe. The Brazilian colleagues are able to pay travel expenses and accomodations for the period above mentioned for the EC members and for one delegate of the member federations which haven't got any EC members and for one delegate from all Latin American federations.

The Agenda of the Assembly will be sent in due time later on. Looking forward to meeting you all in Brazil we send you our warmest regards!

To participate with right to vote at the General Assembly is requested to have paid the membership fees for the 2009 and 2010; you may pay it until the day before the GA.
