Del 21 al 29 de noviembre tendrá lugar una nueva edición del FIKKE08 (Évora International Short Film Festival) En la apertura estará presente el aclamado director Manoel de Oliveira.

The Portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira will be honored at the opening of FIKE 2008 - Evora International Short Film Festival. As one of the great names of World Cinema, Manoel de Oliveira will be honored for his contribution to Cinema and the Portuguese Culture.

Author of a large number of films whose importance is still partly to discover, Manoel de Oliveira recently returned to short films with the completion of tree films "Do Visível Ao Invisível", "Romance de Vila do Conde" and "O Vitral e a Santa Morta" which were recently screened at the Festival of Venice.

Celebrating the Cinema of Manoel de Oliveira and his contribution to the Cinematographic Art and Culture is the sense of this tribute.

FIKE – Évora International Short Film Festival is organized by the non profit organizations SOIR Joaquim António de Aguiar and University of Évora Film Society and Mixreel. The seventh edition of the Festival will start next November 21st with a program of Screenings, Conferences and Workshops, to be announced in early October.
