CINESUD SOCIAL CONTRACT

In order to screen the films of the CineSud catalog, there must be an agreement between the parts involved, this agreement is based on responsability and trust, and is called the CineSud “Social Contract”.
Commitments of the CineSud group
1.The films in the catalog are selected by film societies or federations around the world. In this way we try to mantain the quality and suitability of the films for the films societies community.
2.The catalog is open to any form of audiovisual expression: short and feature films, documentary and fiction, drama, animation and video clip. All the movies are in their original language and should have, at least, English subtitles.
3.The catalog is open for the general public and can be accessed from the Mundokino's web site: www.mundokino.net
4.All the films are in DVD format.
5.All the films have an open license that allows the freedom to copy and exhibit them under certain conditions. The suggested license for authors is the creative commons Attribution Non commercial-No Deriv license.
6.CineSud will send you DVD copies to the interested film societes or organizations. All deliveries must be paid by the destination organization.
7.CineSud is a non-profit project. CineSud wants to reward the authors in a just way using a non-commercial exhibition aproach. Based on that, CineSud will be able to get donations from the exhibitors. These donations will be agreed in every case, depending on the country and the situation of the film society or exhibition organization and always under the supposition that the exhibition is NON-COMMERCIAL. The donations are set aside to reward the authors and to fund the CineSud infraestructure. These donations do not constitute any kind of exhibition fee.
8.Commersial uses of CineSud need to be accorded between CineSud coordination group and filmmakers.
9.For the case of the DVD for the IFFS, the donation is included in the cost of DVD. The exhibitors that receive this pack do not need to make any other donation to the CineSud organization group. This only apply for the titles included in the DVD.
Exhibitor
1.The film society or organization interested in making CineSud exhibitions should contact the closer federation of film society that is member of the CineSud network. If there is not any organization close to the country of the interested group they should contact the CineSud international offices, currently co-located in Barcelona and Mexico City.
2.In the public exhibition of the films the complete credit informtion of the films must be presented. And the integrity of the audiovisual works must be preserved by presenting always the whole movie. In detail the exhibitors have to respect all the conditions established in the distribution license used by CineSud.
3.It should be a mention to the CineSud distribution project in thbe exhibition places: by including the CineSud logo in the promotional material, or by introducing the CineSud project to the audience.
4.The organization must inform the CineSud coordination goup of all presentations of the CineSud works. This information must include: the date of he presentation, the main characteristics of the exhibition: name of the event, number of spectators, etc. Sending additional material like photographs of the event and promotional materials would be higly appreciated.
